2021 Bike safety checks

Every year, Allston-Brighton TMA partners with local bicycle shops to offer free bike safety checks to employees and tenants at our member locations during warm weather months. The Bike Safety Checks are our way of getting to know the cycling community and rewarding cyclists for their dedication to a sustainable commuting choice.

Check below to see if there's an upcoming Bike Safety Check at your workplace. Please note: 2021 events are subject to cancellation, rescheduling, or replacement with virtual workshops as public health guidelines continue to evolve.

Are you curious about hopping on your bike for everyday commuting, errands, and exercise, but hesitant about how to get going in a busy urban environment? You’re not alone!

Join us and the experts at MassBike for an urban biking seminar geared toward sharing the knowledge and empowerment to take your commute into your hands in the cityand what to watch for in traffic being safe around other traffic, anticipating unplanned maneuvers, being predictable and visible, and how to ride in roads along with other traffic. Biking is fast, free, and fun (and you’ll get fit), and it's good for your physical and mental health -- especially important these days! The experts at MassBike have honed their tips to get you over the barriers. Refresh your commute: CLEAN AIR PLEDGE

MONday, april 19 - Friday, april 30

For this year’s Earth Day, we’re encouraging you to consider the environmental impact of your commuting choices. Whether you telework, walk, run, roll, rideshare, or use transit, every sustainable transportation choice counts.

Mobile combustion accounts for over 40% of statewide Massachusetts greenhouse gas emissions. Every commute decision impacts that number. Will you join us on Earth Day and commit to managing your commute emissions this year?

Sign our Clean Air Pledge to commit to green commuting, log at least 4 green commutes during April 19-30 on GoMassCommute, & we'll plant a tree on your behalf
